The Coffee Triangle will have a powerful worldwide promotion tool
This Wednesday the 6th of April at 10 am, PROCOLOMBIA will launch a new official travel portal to the Coffee Triangle which will allow the region to increase the number of visiting international tourists.
The event will take place at the Pereira Hotel Convention Center, with the presence of the authorities from the Government of Risaralda, Quindio and Caldas, as well as the Mayor's Offices from the cities of Pereira, Armenia and Manizales, as well as Cotelco.
Cali entrepreneurs are ready for their encounter with PROCOLOMBIA
A total of 120 entrepreneurs and 20 international investors residing in the Cauca Valley will gather this coming Wednesday in Cali with the president of PROCOLOMBIA, María Claudia Lacouture, with the purpose of strengthening the bonds that help promote international tourism, exports and foreign investment in the region.
Over four thousand tourists will visit Cartagena this Saturday, arriving in three cruise ships
Three ships from the companies Princess Cruises, See Tours and Pullmantur will be docking this Saturday morning at the cruise docking port of the Sociedad Portuaria de Cartagena, with a total of 4,658 tourists and 1,826 crew members.
Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the city’s most symbolic places and taste the best dishes from Cartagena’s gastronomy.
Princess Cruises’ Island Princess will touch port at 8:00 am, bringing approximately 1,970 passengers and 900 crew members who will enjoy the walled city's enchantments for 6 hours.
The Pacific-Colombia Tour Started in Bogotá
144 national and international golf players will begin the second round of the Pacific Colombia Tour, a tournament co-sponsored by the Tour of the Americas (TLA) and the Canadian Tour, which will give US$130 thousand dollars in prizes. The tour comprises five tournaments in different cities in the country. During the next months the tour will visit Medellin, Bucaramanga and Cali, after its start in Barranquilla.
PROCOLOMBIA holds business encounters in Barranquilla
In order to identify opportunities for the diversification of exports, the achievement of direct foreign investment and the promotion of Barranquilla and the region as an international tourist destination, PROCOLOMBIA launched its meetings this Thursday with the local authorities and regional guilds.
The President of PROCOLOMBIA will meet Caribbean Business People
Around 15 Investor Executive Directors established in the Caribbean Region, in addition to 120 export business people and the tourism sector will meet this Thursday in Barranquilla with the President of PROCOLOMBIA, Maria Claudia Lacouture, to get to know the details of the work the entity does and the ways in which projects can be articulated in the international markets.
PROCOLOMBIA and the Internationalization of Tolima
Support was also agreed upon for a total of twenty companies through the program Expopyme 2.0, with funds of up to 75% (in equal parts by the Governor’s Office, the Chamber of Commerce and PROCOLOMBIA), in order to specify success export cases with innovation and diversification.
The encounter was inaugurated by the Governor of Tolima, Oscar Barreto Quiroga, who emphasized to the attending business people on the importance of providing international-level products and services and promoting an exportation culture for PROCOLOMBIA to help them be promoted abroad.
Two cruise liner companies will double their arrivals in Cartagena
Maria Claudia Lacouture, President of PROCOLOMBIA announced this Wednesday that two major cruise liners will double the number of arrivals in the city of Cartagena as of next year.
During her participation at Seatrade 2011, held in Miami, Lacouture conveyed a message of trust and commitment towards the country by the companies Norwegian Cruise Lines and Princess Cruise for the 2012-2013 season.
Colombia present at International Tourism Fair ITB 2011 in Berlin, Germany
The delegation led by PROCOLOMBIA will be accompanied by 25 businessmen and representatives of regional institutions in the sector. Colombia will take an innovative proposal for nature tourism, special activities and an environmental strategy to contribute to the reduction of carbon footprint.
Colombia, the most biodiverse country per square kilometer in the world, first in birds and amphibians, second floors, third in reptiles and mammals fifth, will offer visitors to the International Tourism Fair, ITB 2011, a novel proposal their tourism offer in Nature.
ITB Fair, which will take place in Berlin, Germany, between 9 and 13 March, will feature 25 national companies, led by PROCOLOMBIA with support from the Tourism Promotion Fund of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
Barranquilla’s Entrepreneurs were satisfied by the Encounter with PROCOLOMBIA
The Corporate Encounter arranged by PROCOLOMBIA in Barranquilla ended successfully, with the participation of 130 exporters and business people from the tourism sector, 15 executive directors from established investment companies and the regional authorities.
The meetings with each sector helped divulge PROCOLOMBIA’s activities for the promotion and internationalization of the region through the diversification of the markets and innovation, particularly around the entity’s plan for the 2011-2014 term.
