The country is one of the principal exporting countries in the cosmetics sector in Latin America and its market is strengthening and growing at a high rate worldwide.
As consumers have become more aware of the ingredients used in their beauty products, they are increasingly understanding the benefits and disadvantages of the severe and synthetic chemicals on their bodies. There is a growing interest in pursuing more natural and healthier lifestyles. Products like lotions, moisturizers, masks, and washes are essentials to both male and female skincare routine. These products have become daily essentials that are important to keep our skin and body “healthy”. Lately, as information becomes more available, consumers wonder if these products are helping them instead of giving them side effects. “Colombian cosmetic companies are committed to producing natural skincare products with socially responsible environmental practices, sustainable and high-performance ingredients and organic formulations” remarked Caballero.
Hailing from the El Valle del Cauca, Antioquia and Cundinamarca regions, these 19 Colombian brands, among others, represent a booming industry that positions these regions as the top exporters of cosmetic and personal care products in the country. This has also facilitated the establishment of foreign capital companies that boost the internationalization of the industry.

These brands actively support vulnerable communities across the Valle del Cauca, Antioquia and Cundinamarca regions.
