The Expoconstruccion y Expodiseño Business Matchmaking Forum, to take place between May 25th and 26th, will host 160 international buyers with 300 Colombian exporters seeking to enhance their presence in the foreign markets.

Construction materials like cement, ceramics, piping and finishes are the products Colombia will take to Chile Construye 2011, to be held starting this Wednesday in Santiago de Chile.

The fair, which will end this coming 14th of May, is the perfect venue to exhibit the potential in building solutions, installations, interior finishes, and exterior linings, among others.

Our country's participation, led by PROCOLOMBIA will be represented by the companies Argos, Alfagres, PCP Plásticos, Toptec, ABL Internacional, Formesan and Reforplas.

Pro-Barranquilla, the Investment Promotion agency of the capital city of Atlántico, took on the Regional Directorate for South America of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies, WAIPA, which also commended the entity for the work carried out in benefit of the sustainable economic development of the region.                 

A total of 120 entrepreneurs and 20 international investors residing in the Cauca Valley will gather this coming Wednesday in Cali with the president of PROCOLOMBIA, María Claudia Lacouture, with the purpose of strengthening the bonds that help promote international tourism, exports and foreign investment in the region.     

"Quality, innovative designs and creativity". These were the observations made by all of the attendees at Plataforma K-2011 in Barranquilla, in its business round that generated business opportunities of over US$1.2 million among the 31 international buyers and the 80 Colombian exhibitors, four percent more than in 2010.    

A total of 55 exhibitors and 46 local buyers, among other stakeholders in the flower, foliage and tropical fruit production chain in the coffee region; took part in the first edition of Expotrópica 2011, where PROCOLOMBIA participated with the support of several regional entities.

This event carried out in Pereira between March 24th through the 27th, had the purpose of positioning tropical flowers in both national and international markets.       

144 national and international golf players will begin the second round of the Pacific Colombia Tour, a tournament co-sponsored by the Tour of the Americas (TLA) and the Canadian Tour, which will give US$130 thousand dollars in prizes. The tour comprises five tournaments in different cities in the country. During the next months the tour will visit Medellin, Bucaramanga and Cali, after its start in Barranquilla.

Around 15 Investor Executive Directors established in the Caribbean Region, in addition to 120 export business people and the tourism sector will meet this Thursday in Barranquilla with the President of PROCOLOMBIA, Maria Claudia Lacouture, to get to know the details of the work the entity does and the ways in which projects can be articulated in the international markets.

A total of 27 international business people came to Barranquilla to participate in the Plataforma K business rounds, the flagship fashion event in the Caribbean Region, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Barranquilla with support from PROCOLOMBIA.

Nearly 80 Ecuadorian companies will participate this Thursday and Friday in the seminar "Investment Opportunities in Colombia: duty free zones and regions", organized by PROCOLOMBIA and supported by ANDI and the duty free zones in the country.

The goal of the event is to divulge the benefits and incentives offered by Colombian government to potential foreign investors through duty free zones.
