The group of journalists from Fox Sports will be at the Heroic City (Cartagena) this weekend to visit the stadium, the historical downtown district and some of the islands.

The Fox Sports international production team will be in Cartagena, Medellin, Cali, Bogota and the Coffee Triangle to shoot the series “Under-20 Passion”, to be broadcast from July 26th in the entire continent.

The shows, recorded in joint efforts with PROCOLOMBIA, are intended to showing viewers different aspects from the eight host cities of the FIFA Under 20 Soccer World Cup to be played in the country from this coming 29th of July, gathering 24 different national teams.

In Cartagena, the team led by Walter Queijeiro will not only visit Pedro de Heredia Stadium, but also the main tourist attractions like the Historical Center, Plaza de Aduana, as well as Rosario Islands, Baru and San Bernardo.

The first edition of the series was recorded in Barranquilla. “This city encompasses everything I had imagined in my teenage years, way back in the 80’s; the Colombian prototype, the colors, the joy, the carnival, all seen and felt at all times; To me, Barranquilla is the other face of Colombia, full of color and folklore. It is not easy to find the variety of color in any other country, and in such an urban city,” said Queijeiro.

He highlighted the nearby distance between the cities of Barranquilla, Cartagena and Santa Marta, and stated that “this is a strategic point to combine a city tour and some beaches.”

“I had the opportunity to come to the Barranquilla Carnival; the truth is my hopes were not very high, but I was enchanted; especially because the city is an example for the rest of Latin America. Mayors from different cities should tome to know how to organize an event like this. I saw one and a half million people, all together, having a great time, and with no burglars, fainted people or disturbances, at 40 degrees Celsius; I believe this is altogether a great example to follow, the way every sector in the city comes together to enjoy a celebration like this,” said Queijeiro.

The journalist has described everything he finds throughout his Colombian tour to over 250 thousand fans on twitter (@wqueijeiro)

After its trek through Cartagena, the production team will travel to Medellin, the Coffee Triangle, Cali and Bogota, to shoot new chapters of the series, supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism Promotion Fund. There will be eight half-hour shows broadcast starting this coming 26th of July.
