The group of international buyers was coordinated by PROCOLOMBIA, in joint efforts with the Bucaramanga Chamber of Commerce, and will be led by fifteen buyers from the United States.

That delegation was followed by Venezuela with 11 buyers, Ecuador with 13 and Costa Rica with 10. There will also be 10 buyers from the Caribbean market and two from Bolivia.

As far as the national presence is concerned, Bucaramanga leads the group with 50 percent of the total number of exporters, followed by Bogotá, Barranquilla and Cúcuta, each with seven percent; Medellín and Pereira with four percent, and 21 percent coming from different cities with offerings of raw materials and other services.

EIMI is part of the PROCOLOMBIA Support Plan activities for the exporters affected by revaluation, ATPDEA and the heavy rainfall season, containing over 50 activities like buyer and seller fam trips, business matchmaking forums, market and market share information at the most important international fairs.

Close to 1,200 export companies will participate in the promotion events considered in the plan.
