From the week of March 4th to the 10th 2012, PROCOLOMBIA will participate in the following national and international events.

ITB, the largest tourism fair in the world, in Germany

1. Colombia will be present at one of the most important tourism encounters in the world: the International Tourism Bourse, ITB. With the support of PROCOLOMBIA, 27 entrepreneurs will head to the event to exhibit their offer to over 180 thousand visitors. During this event, the intent is to invite tourists to explore the nature and eco-tourism destinations.

Plataforma K: the launching of the most important runway in the Colombian Caribbean

2. This coming March 6th is the launching of Plataforma K in Barranquilla, an event gathering 80 national designers who will exhibit their creations to 35 buyers from the United States, Chile, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Aruba, among others.

The mission of foreign entrepreneurs, convened by PROCOLOMBIA, is made up of owners of boutiques, stores and shops connected with this sector. The event is organized by the Barranquilla Chamber of Commerce.

Colombian developers are looking for buyers at GDC

3. Five Colombian companies dedicated to developing video games will participate in the business matchmaking forum to take place as part of the Game Developers Conference (GDC). They will have business appointments with sector leaders like Ubisoft, Epic Games, Sony, Microsoft and Konami.

Autoparts and pharmaceutical supply-analysis encounters begin

4. In order to learn about the pharmaceutical and autoparts offering in the country's capital, the Bogota City Hall and PROCOLOMBIA will launch this coming week a series of encounters to collect information to then be communicated at seminars. Overall, there will be 24 companies under research: 12 from the pharmaceutical sector and 12 from the auto parts sector.

Colombia will present its Hotel and Tourism Infrastructure investment potential during IHIF 2012

5. The XV International Hotel Investment Forum 2012 is considered one of the most important events in the European Hotel and Tourism Infrastructure industry. PROCOLOMBIA will have an exhibition stand to promote investment opportunities in niches like Eco-Luxury, Urban Hotels, Sun and Beach Resorts, Golf Resorts, Spas and Wellness Centers.

The country will also be present at the "Hot Cities in South America" panel, where the investment potential in cities like Bogotá and Cartagena will be disclosed for projects to be developed in the sector. Dexter Woods, Senior Executive of the Hilton chain, will tell the story of the company in Colombia.

Colombia Mining 2012, during the PDAC mining event

6. Colombia Mining 2012 will take place at the Intercontinental Centre in the city of Toronto, aimed at attracting a large number of mining companies and investors interested in Colombia. PROCOLOMBIA will be present as a participant.

German investors will attend the automotive sector investment seminar

7. Around 60 German entrepreneurs from the automotive industry will meet this March 7th in Berlín to learn about the opportunities in the Colombian autoparts sector. Carlos de Hart, Minister of Development, will attend, as well as senior officers from ANDI, ACOLFA and Asopartes. The seminar is organized by PROCOLOMBIA, in alliance with the German Vehicle Association (VDA) and the Entrepreneurial Association for Latin American (LAV).
