1. Between September 1st and 2nd, Sao Paulo will host the Brazil-Colombia Matchmaking Forum, organized by PROCOLOMBIA, with the participation of 135 Colombian exporters from the neighboring country. The event is part of the Exporter Support Scheme launched for those affected by the heavy rains, revaluation of the Colombian Peso, and ATPDEA.
The event will be held at the World Trade Center, Sheraton, Sao Paulo. Participating entrepreneurs are in the sectors of agribusiness, manufacturing, apparel and services, where opportunities have been identified for domestic exporters.

2. On Monday August 29th, the president of PROCOLOMBIA, María Claudia Lacouture, will meet with 70 entrepreneurs from Bucaramanga to publicize the services offered by the entity. The meeting is part of the program "Encounters between PROCOLOMBIA and the regions', which has already been done in Cali, Ibague, Pereira and Barranquilla. The meeting will begin at 7:30 am at Hotel Dann Carlton.
3. In order to inform the construction and major engineering companies in Brazil, operating in infrastructure projects in the different alternatives offered by Colombia, PROCOLOMBIA and the Ministry of Transportation will conduct the Infrastructure Projects seminar with the participation of 27 entrepreneurs in the neighboring country.
The event will be held September first at the World Trade Center, Hotel Sheraton São Paulo, Brazil and will announce infrastructure projects to be developed in the first half of 2012 under a grant.
4. From August 30 to September 2, PROCOLOMBIA will participate with 30 Colombian companies in the Flowers Expo exhibition, an annual exhibition for professionals in floriculture and landscape design, becoming the most promising business exposure in all sectors of floriculture.
The fair will take place at the Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre in Moscow and aims to promote the best of the Colombian flower industry in the market of the Russian Federation, as well as encourage the growth of trade relations between both countries.

5. PROCOLOMBIA will participate in the Road Show in Germany, training travel agents from the FTI Group, the fourth largest tourist group in the European country to raise awareness of Colombian products.
The Road Show will begin on August 29th and will run until September 2nd. Training will be conducted in different German cities like Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne and Hamburg, where different travel agencies and communications media will participate.
6. Between August 31st and September 2st, PROCOLOMBIA will hold a seminar on bottling and packaging in order to strengthen the competencies of the sector in the face of international market trends.
The event is expected to gather 25 companies and will host speaker Adriana Wolff, a strategic specialist in the containers and packaging sector, also discussing figures, legislation and regulations, materials, color theory, printing systems, new products presented in Interpack 201, logistics, design and development methodology for new packaging, among others.

7. In order to position Colombia as a tourism, convention and conference destination, 12 representatives from the company Creatur will come to Cartagena de Indias on September 2nd and 3rd, 2011, on an inspection visit by a group of Creatur specialists in corporate and leisure tourism.
8. With the aim of positioning the Colombian offering for the provision of hotel supplies in the Dominican Republic, PROCOLOMBIA will coordinate the Colombian Pavillion and the participation of eight domestic exporters, (three of clothing and five of manufacturing) in Bogotá, Pereira and Medellin Asonahores in 2011, leading exhibition for the marketing of goods and services suppliers of the hotel and restaurant industry in that country.
The Colombian participation in the event is part of the support plan for exporters affected by APTDEA, revaluation of the Colombian Peso and the heavy rains, and will be held from August 31st to September 3rd, which will celebrate its twenty-fifth edition at the Convention Center Hotel Dominican Fiesta & Casino.

9. On August 31st, at the Radisson Royal Hotel, PROCOLOMBIA will present the import licensing conference to publicize the new measure with over 40 importers of Colombian goods.
Two technicians from COMEX, the Board of Foreign Trade and Investment, will explain the operation of new import licenses, to be published in the Official Registry of Ecuador, and applies to vehicles, tires, refrigerators, televisions, cell phones, iron, among others.
10. In order to position the Colombian product offering for hotel supplies in Mexico and make business contacts, PROCOLOMBIA will participate in the only international pavilion at the Latin American Supplier Forum for the Hospitality and Restaurant Fair, to be held between August 30th and September first, at the Centro Banamex, Mexico City, organized by AMAIT.
Ten Colombian companies, six of them in the manufacturing sector and four from the Apparel Management Division, will represent the country at the Island Colombia Pavilion, an event that is part of the program for support to exporters affected by APTDEA, revaluation of the Colombian Peso and the heavy rains.

11. On occasion of the celebration of the International Cultural Festival of Boyacá (FICB) PROCOLOMBIA invited the journals El Listin, from the Dominican Republic, and El Nuevo Dia, from Puerto Rico, with the purpose of presenting the various tourist destinations offered, such as Paipa Boyacá, Villa de Leyva, Oicata, Duitama and surrounding areas.
El Nuevo Dia is one of the largest newspapers with national popularity in Puerto Rico, and has daily circulation. On the other hand the Dominican Republic's newspaper El Listin is the morning's most prestigious daily journal on the island.
12. On September 2nd, PROCOLOMBIA will provide information about opportunities and trends detected to entrepreneurs from the potential sub-sectors of Manufacturing Management and Supplies in Norte de Santander, which will allow to understand, process and implement any necessary adjustments to the export offering to effectively reach the international and potential markets in the region.
The transmission will provide information to Colombian exporters of clay, on the opportunities, constraints, requirements and market dynamics in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago) for the sector of Clay and Wood.
