As a reflection of the country's history and the customs and personality of each region, the traditional fairs and festivities in Colombia showcase the architecture of the towns, streets and cities that invite foreigners every year to join the celebrations in the country.

The festivities of San Juan and San Pedro in Huila, the Folklore Festival in Ibague, the National Coffee Festival, and the Villa Jazz Festival in Villa de Leyva are some of the celebrations that will take place in June, ranging from traditional and folkloric to world-class events.

The Huila Festivities: San Juan and San Pedro
Three days of festivities celebrate the San Juan and San Pedro holidays. Their purpose is to showcase the culture, dance, and traditions in the Huila region in the country's heartland.
Proof of this is the Bambuco Pageant and Folkloric Festival in Neiva, which will be held on June 12th-28th in 2015. This is one of the most important festivities in Colombia and includes the Bambuco Pageant, parades, gastronomical samples, cavalcades, bullfighting, and folk dances to the beat of the traditional sanjuanero rhythm.

Ibague Folklore Festival
Ibague is located in the nation’s heartland in the department of Tolima, and is widely known as the Musical City of Colombia.
One of the best-known cultural events in Ibague is its Folklore Festival, held in June every year in the eve of the festivities of San Juan and San Pedro. From June 20th-30th, 2015, the city will turn into a festive mood; squares and parks will become the best music stages where people can dance the traditional rhythms of the Andes: sanjuaneros, bambucos, and pasillos.  The Colombian Folklore Festival is considered a National Cultural and Artistic Heritage.

National Coffee Festival
Since 1960, the municipality of Calarca in the department of Quindio (part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape) celebrates the National Coffee Festival.
For 10 days from June 19th-29th, this traditional coffee region pays homage to the local culture with events such as the Yipao Contest and Parade, featuring the traditional trucks of the coffee plantations, as well as the Crafts Fair and Market, the Regional Bicycle Gathering, and cavalcades. The attractions in these festivities also feature the "Coffee Pageant", which combines the beauty of Colombian women with the coffee culture.

Jazz Takes Over Villa de Leyva
The traditional municipality of Villa de Leyva, where colonial history meets the country's culture all-year round, celebrates the International Jazz Festival, Villa Jazz Festival. For the past three years, this festival has proven itself as a top-notch event that showcases jazz performers of the region.

The fourth festival will be held from June 28th-30th, aiming towards fostering jazz culture among locals and visitors with band contests and concerts by renowned jazz musicians. With free admission to concerts and workshops, the organizers intend to foster artistic education among children and youths in the country and in this region in particular
