The famous CNN journalist, host of his own show, Anderson Cooper 360o, visited our country and shared his experience with almost 1.5 million followers.

Anderson Cooper, the popular CNN anchor who has been tasked with giving the world some of the most impacting news in recent times, left the camera lenses for a while and reappeared on his Twitter, with his head and back totally covered in mud. "I'm off for a few days. From this photo can you guess where in the world I am? Exact location?” picture

Almost immediately, thousands of people out of his almost one and a half million followers answered, and he came back to them: "No.. it is not a spa, I hate spas", "It isn't the Dead Sea, not even close". It wasn’t until a few minutes later that he decided to unveil the mystery: "Guessers. Some of you were right. I was at El Totumo volcano. A mud volcano near Cartagena, Colombia".

Through his tweets, @andersoncooper began to share his experience in Colombia. "You have to climb to the top of the volcano and get in the warm mud. It is really weird, but fun. Colombia is a beautiful country".

Then he told his followers about the amazing time he was having in Colombia, especially in Cartagena, Bogotá and Medellín.

After Cartagena he went to Bogotá, and sent several tweets from there, especially from Gaira Restaurant. When one of his fans asked what he had liked the most, Cooper said it had to be the Chocolo Arepas (corn cakes) and Patacones (fried, smashed plantain slices), not forgetting live music; that day he rated his time in Bogota the previous night as 'perfect'.  "Last night in Bogota, Colombia, my favorite restaurant, @GairaCafe. Delicious food, Guillo Vives on the stage. Perfection", he said.

His trip went on in Medellín and he couldn't stop talking about the advantages of coming to the country, also recognizing the advancements in the last few years, and recommended Colombia as a place to visit.

"Colombia is a fantastic country. They have overcome many obstacles and exciting things are happening here. It is a great place to visit", as he told his followers on Twitter.
