They are part of the group of 269 foreign companies PROCOLOMBIA brought to the Colombia Travel Mart business conference that will take place during the ANATO Tourism Showcase next week

As part of these visits, from the 22 to 26 of February, 227 entrepreneurs will go on fam trips throughout the country to learn about the regions' tourism potential in terms of cuisine, convention tourism, incentive travel, culture, sun and sand, nature and golf.

In this delegation, the largest mission of wholesalers that PROCOLOMBIA has brought, there are 193 entrepreneurs that will participate in the meeting for the first time and come in search of new tourism plans that they can offer in their respective countries. Additionally, there was a growth of 30% compared to the number of entrepreneurs that participated in the sixth Colombia Travel Mart.

At the business meeting, the international wholesalers will hold more than 5,000 meetings with 223 national entrepreneurs that attend the event to offer their tourism packages to different regions such as: Antioquia, Cundinamarca, Bolivar, Magdalena, Santander, Valle del Cauca, Risaralda, Boyaca, Caldas, San Andres and Providencia, Quindio, Atlantico, Meta, Huila, La Guajira, Cauca, Choco and Cesar.

"Having unique first-hand experiences is one of the best ways of convincing wholesalers to sell the tourism packages that our entrepreneurs offer, in their countries. On these fam trips, more than 200 entrepreneurs who will tour the country will fall in love with each region and so they will have all the arguments to make decisions at the business conference," stated Maria Claudia Lacouture, President of PROCOLOMBIA.

Medellin Hosts 33 Entrepreneurs

33 wholesalers from Venezuela, Honduras, Curacao, Saint Martin, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Canada, Guatemala, the United States, Spain, Suriname and Uruguay will visit Medellin to discover the city's cuisine, culture, nature and incentive travel.

During the trip, divided into four groups, the foreigners will learn about the history of Medellin's transformation and visit the best restaurants and tourist attractions including the Botanical Garden, Explora Park, Biblioteca Espana, Museum of Antioquia, Metrocable Cable Car, Museum of Modern Art, the sports centers, Pueblito Paisa, Arvi Park, Guatape, El Penol and Carmen de Viboral.

As well as inspecting the hotels and convention centers, they will take cooking classes and coffee tasting sessions, and will visit markets and a local brewery.

Among the group of entrepreneurs that will visit the city, the presence of specialized nature tourism agencies such as The Nature Travel Collection from the United Kingdom and Viajes Trekking y Aventura from Spain stands out.

Additionally, PROCOLOMBIA invited a group of eight tourism journalists from Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, the United States, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Panama who will tour Medellin and Bogota as major cities.
21 Antioquenian entrepreneurs will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 363 business meetings with international wholesalers.

Cali Hosts 31 Wholesalers

31 wholesalers from Venezuela, Honduras, Argentina, Saint Martin, Curacao, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Panama, Mexico, Aruba, Guatemala, the United States, El Salvador, Ecuador, Suriname and Uruguay will visit Cali to discover the city's cuisine, culture and religious tourism, and incentive travel.

During the trip, the foreigners will visit, in five groups, the best restaurants and tourist attractions, such as Buga, Senor de los Milagros Basilica, El Paraiso Hacienda, Sugar Cane Museum, Cristo Rey, El Penon district, La Ermita Church, San Antonio and the Salsa Museum and they will attend a Delirio show.
As well as inspecting the hotels and convention centers, they will take cooking classes, visit markets and take salsa classes.

mong the group of entrepreneurs who will visit Cali, the strong presence of seven wholesalers from the Caribbean, who are very interested in religious and cultural products, stands out.
10 entrepreneurs from Valle del Cauca will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 152 business meetings with international wholesalers.

San Andres Hosts 38 Wholesalers

38 wholesalers from Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Peru, Germany, Panama, Mexico, the United States, Poland, Chile, Bolivia, Canada and Ecuador will visit San Andres to discover the city's sun and sand and incentive travel.
During the trip, the foreigners, divided into three groups will visit the best restaurants, shopping areas and tourist attractions, such as Johnny Cay, Morgan's Cave, Hoyo Soplador and the Aquarium, and they will inspect the hotels.
Among the group of entrepreneurs that will visit San Andres, the presence of 5 Russian wholesalers for the first time invited by PROCOLOMBIA stands out. They are the Caribbean Club, ICS Travel Group, Continental, Vand Travel and International Tour.
6 entrepreneurs from San Andres and Providencia will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 151 business meetings with international wholesalers.

Santa Marta Hosts 32 Wholesalers

32 wholesalers from Chile, Ecuador, the United States, Mexico, Panama, the United Kingdom, Russia, Switzerland, Argentina, Canada, Germany, Guadeloupe and Peru will visit Santa Marta to discover the city's nature, sun and sand and archeology.

During the trip, divided into three groups, the foreigners will visit the city's historic downtown and best restaurants, Tayrona Park, Tayronaka, Don Diego river, Palomino and a Kogui indigenous community.
They will also go walking and horse-back riding along the beaches of Arrecife.

Out of the group of entrepreneurs that will visit Santa Marta, the presence of agents specialized in nature tourism stand out, such as Wild Frontiers of the United Kingdom and Solar Tours of the United States, a company with several brands and more than 300 travel agents. The latter being one of the operators that sells the most Caribbean destinations on the U.S. market.

13 entrepreneurs from Magdalena will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 228 business meetings with international wholesalers.

Cartagena Hosts 64 Wholesalers

64 wholesalers from Australia, Indonesia, Argentina, Mexico, Guadeloupe, Canada, Peru, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Japan, the United States, South Korea, China, Chile, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic will visit Cartagena to discover the city's nature, sun and sand, archeology and golf.
During the trip, divided into seven groups, the foreigners will visit the city's historic downtown, the best restaurants, Castillo de San Felipe and the Islands of Rosario. They will also go on the audio guided Gabriel Garcia Marquez tour and a catamaran tour, as well as other activities.

The group of golf tour operators, will also inspect and try out the Karibana golf course.
Out of the group of entrepreneurs that will visit Cartagena, two groups from Asia Pacific stand out with important Korean, Japanese and Chinese entrepreneurs. They are H.I.S. International Tours NY Inc, Japan's main tour operator and WOTIF, Australia's most important online distributor.

46 entrepreneurs from Bolivar will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 885 business meetings with international wholesalers.

Santander Hosts 12 Wholesalers

12 wholesalers from Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom, Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, the United States and Argentina will visit Santander to discover the city's golf and culture with the World Heritage towns.

During the trip, divided into two groups, the foreigners will visit Barichara, Socorro, Giron, Guane and Piedecuesta, the best restaurants of the area, a tobacco factory and cultural museums.
The golf group will inspect and try out the Bucaramanga and Ritoque country club golf courses, and visit Chicamocha National Park.

Out of the group of entrepreneurs that will visit Santander, important U.S. tour operators stand out. They are famous for sending a large volume of tourists to Panama. This represents a big opportunity for Colombia.
11 entrepreneurs from Santander will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 139 business meetings with international wholesalers.

The Coffee Cultural Landscape Hosts 44 Wholesalers

44 wholesalers from Australia, Indonesia, Canada, Venezuela, Russia, Brazil, Poland, Japan, Spain, the United States, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, South Korea, China and Holland will visit the Coffee Cultural Landscape to discover the region's agritourism, incentive travel, nature and culture.

During the trip, divided into five groups, the foreigners will visit different coffee plantations, they will taste samples of the cuisine, have coffee tastings and cooking classes, travel in Willys jeeps and go to Pereira, Manizales, Finlandia, Salento, Cocora Valley and Quimbaya, among other areas.

Out of the group of entrepreneurs that will visit the Coffee Cultural Landscape, the presence of two groups from Asia Pacific stands out with important Korean, Japanese and Chinese entrepreneurs. They are H.I.S. International Tours NY Inc, Japan's main tour operator and WOTIF, Australia's most important online distributor.

9 entrepreneurs from Risaralda, 8 from Caldas and 4 from Quindio will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 385 business meetings with international wholesalers.

Barranquilla Hosts 38 Wholesalers

38 wholesalers from Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, the United States, Spain, Russia, Aruba, Guatemala, Panama, El Salvador, Switzerland, Chile, the United Kingdom and Germany will visit Barranquilla to discover the region's golf, festivals and fairs, nature and archeology.

During the trip, divided into four groups, the foreigners will visit the Museum of the Caribbean, Casa del Carnaval Colosseum and the best restaurants, and they will receive dancing classes and see a carnival display.

The group specialized in golf will inspect and try out the Caujaral golf course.
Out of the group of entrepreneurs that will visit Barranquilla, the agents specialized in nature tourism stand out, such as Wild Frontiers of the United Kingdom and Solar Tours of the United States, a company with several brands and more than 300 travel agents, being one of the operators that sells the most Caribbean destinations on the U.S. market.

4 entrepreneurs from Atlantico will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 50 business meetings with international wholesalers.

Boyaca Hosts 37 Wholesalers

37 wholesalers from Canada, Venezuela, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Peru, Mexico, Honduras, Holland, the United States, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Spain and Germany will visit Boyaca to discover the region's incentive travel, nature, agritourism, culture and archeology.

During the trip, divided into five groups, the foreigners will visit Villa de Leyva, Raquira, Sogamoso and Tunja, and tourist attractions including the Solar Observatory, Temple of the Sun, Acuna Museum, Monastery of La Candelaria, the Paleontological Research Center and the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy.

They will also enjoy the best restaurants of the region and take tagua and clay workshops.

Out of the group of entrepreneurs that will visit Boyaca, one of the main tour operators of the United Kingdom, Hayes and Jarvis, stands out as well as agents specialized in nature tourism, such as Nature Travel Specialist of the United States and Colibri of Germany. Colibri started to offer Colombia as a destination at the end of 2012 and is looking for new destinations in our country.

8 entrepreneurs from Boyaca will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 72 business meetings with international wholesalers.

Huila Hosts Four International Entrepreneurs

4 wholesalers from Canada, Switzerland and the United States will visit Huila to discover the region's cultural and archaeological tourism.

During the trip, the foreigners will visit the Tatacoa Desert, San Agustin, the Cacica Gaitana Monument, Represa look out point, the archaeological park, Rivera hot springs and Isnos, and they will taste achiras (little savory pastries).

Out of the entrepreneurs that will visit Huila, the presence of the Swiss wholesaler, Dorado Latino Group specialized in South American destinations such as Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Bolivia, stands out.
2 entrepreneurs from Huila will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their products and hold 27 business meetings with international wholesalers.

La Guajira Hosts 10 International Entrepreneurs

10 wholesalers from Mexico, Ecuador, the United States, Spain, Russia, Panama, Switzerland, Chile and the United Kingdom will visit La Guajira to discover the region's nature tourism.

During the trip, the foreigners will visit Palomino and taste its traditional food.

Among the entrepreneurs that will visit La Guajira, the agents specialized in nature tours stand out, such as Wild Frontiers of the United Kingdom.

1 entrepreneur from the region will participate in Colombia Travel Mart to present their company's products and hold 23 business meetings with the international wholesalers.

Narino Hosts Three International Entrepreneurs

3 wholesalers from Mexico and Panama will visit Narino to discover the region's religious tourism.
During the trip, the foreigners will visit the historic downtown of Pasto, Eucaristico Maridiaz Sanctuary, Visitandinas Chapel, Nuestra Senora de Lourdes Chapel, San Felipe Neri Temple, San Andres Temple, Pasto Cathedral and Las Lajas Sanctuary.

Out of the entrepreneurs that will visit Narino, the Mexican wholesaler, Tours de la Fe, specialized in religious tourism stands out.

The Amazon Hosts 11 International Entrepreneurs

11 wholesalers from the United Kingdom, Mexico, Holland, the United States, Argentina and Germany will visit the Amazon to discover the region's religious tourism.

During the trip, the foreigners will visit Santander Park, the Huitoto community, Monkey Island, the Calanoa reserve, Loretoyacu river and Tarapoto lake. They will also inspect the hotels and visit markets.
Out of the entrepreneurs that will visit the Amazon, the German wholesaler, Meiers Weltreisen stands out. It belongs to the second most important tourism group in Germany (REWE GROUP).

Cundinamarca Hosts 269 International Entrepreneurs

The 269 international wholesalers that will attend the business conference will have the opportunity to get to know the country's capital through different activities, from shopping, coffee-tasting, visits to the Gold Museum, Guatavita Lake, Chichaque, the Salt Cathedral, historic and religious centers, golf courses and the best restaurants and birdwatching on the outskirts of the city.
