International leaders and local entrepreneurs will be part of this encounter, seeking to increase competitiveness and opportunities for prosperity in the Caribbean, which will rank the region as a destination for corporate events.

Tony Blair, former English Prime Minister, will lead the list of world-class speakers sharing success cases at Expogestión Caribe, to be held on April 28th and 29th at the Jumbo del Country room in Barranquilla.

This forum is intended to increase competitiveness and opportunities for prosperity in the Caribbean Region, in addition to identifying future corporate, public and academic projects in the region.

This will all be achieved through four modules providing world-class information to both public and private business people.

Each session will be led by domestic and international conference speakers.

The first module, by former English Prime Minister, Tony Blair, will discuss Public Management as its main topic. The event will be opened by the President of the country, Juan Manuel Santos.

Innovation, Justice, Competitiveness and Corporate Strategy will be the topics at hand in the remaining sessions, to be led by speakers like Don Tapscott, Ammon Levav, Juan Carlos Esguerra and Emiliano Duch.

In addition to the three thousand entrepreneurs participating every year in the forum, and among other important players, the Minister of Justice and the Interior, German Vargas Lleras and the Minister of Information Technologies and Communications, Diego Molano Vega, will be attending.

PROCOLOMBIA promotes the city as a destination for events and conventions. Barranquilla, which is known as the Golden Gate to the Colombian Caribbean, is the country's main ocean port. It is the fourth city in Colombia and it outstands for its thriving economy, mainly in industry, trade, finance and fishing.

The city has a broad hotel offering, in addition to an important infrastructure for events, like the Centro de Eventos Jumbo and the Hotel El Prado Convention Center.
