PROCOLOMBIA Events Agenda from November 7th to 13th, 2011

From the week of November 7th to the 13th, 2011, Proexport Colombia will participate in the following national and international events.

Events Agenda:

International buyers at Andinapack, the container and packaging fair in Latin America

1. More than 700 presenters and approximately 20 thousand visitors from all over Latin America are expected at Andinapack, the most prestigious container and packaging fair in the region, organized by PAFYC, where Colombian exporters will have the opportunity to present their offering from November 8 to 11 at Corferias, Bogotá .

PROCOLOMBIA supports the visit of a group of 31 international buyers from Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Jamaica, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States.

Colombia showcases corporate tourism offering at Successful Meetings Caribbean & Islands

2. From November 13 to 15, PROCOLOMBIA will participate in one of the most prestigious events in the MICE industry, organized by the magazine Successful Meetings, which will take place in Fairmont Southhampton Princess - Bermuda

The event will feature the presence of 26 exhibitors including hotels, incentives houses and corporate event planners from the United States and Canada, previously classified in order to educate and encourage possible/potential clients from the industry, where one-to-one meetings will be held to introduce Colombia as a corporate tourism destination.

On the last day, PROCOLOMBIA will offer a breakfast where the country will be presented, also delivering personalized promotional material to each of the participants. Next year, Cartagena de Indias will be the host city of Successful Meetings Caribbean & Islands 2012.

Seminar on " World trends in sustainable construction" in Bogota

3. This coming November 9, PROCOLOMBIA and the Colombian Council for Sustainable Construction, will organize for the first time the Seminar on Sustainable Construction, targeting 30 entrepreneurs from the construction materials sector, in order to exhibit world-wide sustainable construction trends, at Club Nogal in Bogota.

World Travel Market in the United Kingdom

4. In order to promote Colombia as a tourism destination in the United Kingdom and help Colombian entrepreneurs to establish contacts and begin relations with British tour operators, PROCOLOMBIA will participate, for the first time, at the World Travel Market WTM in London.

WTM is the most important tourism showcase in the United Kingdom, organized by Reed Exhibitions, world leader in the organization of events, which will only be open to companies and people from the industry, and will take place from November 7 to 10.

The business event will be attended by tour operators, travel agencies, the media and 16 companies representing Colombia, which will be at the two-store stand of PROCOLOMBIA, containing a country institutional counter and activations such as the coffee station, the work room, the VIP room, the green strategy - tree planting, the salsa group Swing Latino, and ' palenqueras' who invite all attendees to visit the country stand.

Trade Agenda for Tour Operator in Ecuador

5. Between November 8 and 9, the tour Operator Viajes Chapinero will visit the major wholesalers in Quito, as well as the social clubs. With the support of PROCOLOMBIA, an agenda was arranged with 10 Ecuadorian companies to promote the Britney Spears concert, to be held in Bogota, and the Williams Sisters tennis tournament in Medellin.
