Events agenda:

First Andean Corporate Encounter begins with CAN Countries

1. Businessmen from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru will meet in the event to be held in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The event will highlight activities featuring the Business Matchmaking Forum and the Andean Committee Meting of Promotion and Export Authorities, with the participation of PROCOLOMBIA, Promueve Bolivia, Proecuador and Promperú. There will be 250 exporters representing Colombia' s various production sectors.

Business opportunities with the United States will be showcased in Cali.

2. During the seminar, exporters from the provincial department of Valle del Cauca will have a first hand look at the products with the best sales opportunities in the United States, by sector and state, once the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) enters in force. Around 300 businessmen will attend this event, arranged by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, PROCOLOMBIA and the Cali Chamber of Commerce.

Alimentaria 2012, the most important food and beverage hall in the world

3. This year' s fair, which gathers top players from the industry, trade and distribution of food and beverage, will feature the participation of 14 Colombian companies invited by PROCOLOMBIA, with two exhibition stands available: one in the international hall and the other in the frozen foods hall.

Brazilian entrepreneurs will learn about the business opportunities in Colombia

4. Mercado Foco Colombia will participate at the seminar arranged by the Exports and Investment Promotion Agency of Brazil (Apex Brazil), and the Federation of State Industries of Rio Grande do Sul. The businessmen will learn about Colombia' s potential as an exporter and receiver of foreign capital, the advances of its economy and its facility to do business. One hundred entrepreneurs will attend, invited by Proexport. Another 200 will participate via webcast.

International press present at the Ibero-American Theater Festival in Bogota

5. Over 30 international journalists from Asia, Europe and America will arrive in Bogotá to see one of the most important theater festivals in the world. PROCOLOMBIA, the District Tourism and Culture Institute and the Theater Festival prepared the agenda prepared for the guest media, including interviews with directors, actors, and play producers tours around the city and its vicinity, destination presentations and, of course, invitations to the most representative plays.

Dominican Republic travel agent training continues

7. Since last Wednesday, March 21st, PROCOLOMBIA an ATOM Travel are working on sales force training activities from the Dominican wholesalers' agencies. The goal of these workshops is to divulge Colombia' s tourism destinations for the agents to promote them as part of their offering.

Seminar for entrepreneurs from the hotel industry in Colombia

8. On March 27, 28, and 29, PROCOLOMBIA will give a seminar to show the results from the study on institutional hotel supplies and products on sale at boutiques in Mexican hotels. The event will target entrepreneurs from the tourism sector in Bogotá, Medellín and Barranquilla.

In Beijing and Seoul, Colombia will present opportunities in the Oil Goods and Services Sector

9. Entrepreneurs from China and Korea will learn about the country' s investment horizon, as well as the incentives offered by Colombia in terms of foreign investment. Investment will be promoted in niches like Upstream (exploration and exploitation), Downstream (transportation, storage, refining and trade). These seminars will be held simultaneously with the tour by the National Hydrocarbons Agency (Spanish Acronym, ANH), around seven countries in America, Europe and Asia.

Six cruise ships will dock in Cartagena

10. This week, the capital city of the provincial department of Bolivar will receive six ships of the most popular cruise lines. PROCOLOMBIA will support the event with the activation of a group of ' Palenqueras' offering local fruit to the passengers of the Coral Princess, and a fam-tour to the crew members of the Grandeur of the Seas.
