International entrepreneurs will visit the XXV IFLS and VII Leather and Supplies, Machinery & Technology Exhibition
Among the exhibitions planned for the International Fashion Week in Bogota, PROCOLOMBIA invited 197 entrepreneurs from 155 foreign firms to explore business opportunities in the leather industry, leather goods and footwear. Guests will attend the XXV International Footwear and Leather Show and the VII International Exhibition of Leather and Supplies, Machinery & Technology.

India will host the most important Information Technology Forum
PROCOLOMBIA will participate in the 2012 edition of the Leadership Forum organized by Nasscom, the most important guild in the Information Technology Industry of India, and considered by experts as the most important IT event in the world. The forum will also be attended by various domestic investment promotion agencies like Invest Pacific, Probarranquilla and Invest in Bogota.

International journalists will get to know the golf offering during the Nationwide Tour
Eight journalists from major media courses in the world will accompany the players on the Nationwide Tour, which this year will be entitled Colombia Championship 2012. Communicators will play in several golf courses in Bogotá, enjoying the gastronomical offering and the landmarks of the city. It seeks to promote the capital as an international destination for golf. Media journalists will come from Revista Mercador (Dominican Rep. Golf Illustrated (United Kingdom), Golf Digest (Argentina and Chile), New Golf (Brazil), New England Gold Monthly (United States), Arizona Fairways (United States).

Tour operators specializing in golf will visit the country
As a result of the interest shown in the country by IAGTO operators (International Association of Golf Tour Operators) during the IGTM 2011 show, the most important in the golf tourism industry, six specialist tour operators and two journalists from the media Le Journal de Golf (France) and Planet Golf Review (England) were invited by PROCOLOMBIA to see the country as an international destination for this sport.

Biofach 2012 will begin in Germany
With the support of PROCOLOMBIA, the National Brown Sugar Producers' Federation (FEDEPANELA), Doña Panela, Andes Export Company and the National Coffee Growers' Federation will participate in Biofach 2012, to be held in Germany, considered the most important organic product fair in the world.

Canadian firm advising exporters will learn about the Colombian offering
TFO, a Canadian company dedicated to the advisory of exporters from developing and emerging countries, is in Colombia to get to know the country' s offer in five business sectors: confectionery, packaging, ingredients for the food industry, uniforms and natural ingredients for cosmetics. This activity is part of the use of the Free Trade Agreement with Canada.

Costa Rica hosts Expoconstrucción y Vivienda 2012
PROCOLOMBIA will take six Colombian companies in the sector to Expoconstrucción y Vivienda 2012, organized by the Costa Rican Chamber of Construction. At the show, importers from the Caribbean country can see the domestic supply in the hall prepared exclusively for Colombia.

Colombia present at the Magic Show in the United States
The Magic Show is one of the most important events of the textile and clothing industry in the United States. This year the exhibition will include the participation of 80 countries and approximately 500 brands. PROCOLOMBIA will be responsible to promote Colombia as a major provider of supplies, textiles and garments in the Sourcing Hall.

Channel BS Japan travels around Colombia
Three journalists from the channel BS Japan will visit the most attractive Colombian tourist destinations for Japanese tourists, who are interested in places with cultural events, nature and bird watching. The visit is organized by PROCOLOMBIA and the Embassy of Colombia in Japan.

Two cruise ships arrive in Cartagena this week
The 2011-2012 cruise season is coming to the port of Cartagena, with the arrival of two major vessels.
February 13: Grandeur of the Seas (Royal Caribbean Lines) with 2,446 passengers and 760 crew-members on board.
February 18: Horizon Cruises (Pullmantur Lines) with 1,828 passengers and 620 crew-members on board.
Barranquilla Carnival, in the carnival book
Argentine journalist Guido Piotrokwski will visit the country, invited by PROCOLOMBIA, to learn, investigate and enjoy the Barranquilla Carnival, a work which will be part of his book ' Carnivals of South America' . The journalist also writes for major media.
