A New Business Dynamic will be Launched in Colombiamoda

The 632 international buyers may become familiar with the offer of Colombian exporters at the stand of each company, which will allow them to gain further insight during their fair walkthrough.

This year, 632 foreign entrepreneurs visiting Colombiamoda will not stand still nor isolated like in prior years, because they will now have the possibility to move throughout the fair and directly visit the stands of Colombian exporters.

This is the new dynamic that PROCOLOMBIA will implement this time, changing the concept of rounds by business encounters, in order to provide buyers with the possibility to enjoy further Colombiamoda, and the 450 Colombian entrepreneurs the possibility to present their products in a more personalized and professional manner.

Colombiamoda, the most important Colombian fair in the industry, organized by Inexmoda, the Institute for Export and Fashion, was launched this Tuesday in Medellí n.

" If the buyer visits my stand, Fabuloso, I can better convey the concept of my products and it will be easier to negotiate" , affirmed Hernando Pulido, General Manager of Barsotti SAS, exporter of men shirts.

Clara Palacio, Commercial Manager of Ellipse, bathing suit and lingerie company, also embraced the strategy. " Last year, we made an excellent contact with a US firm representative and, in order for him to exactly understand our approach, we took him to the store to clearly explain what we wanted to convey " .

With the PROCOLOMBIA accompaniment, the new dynamic will also allow buyers to obtain additional meetings with the companies in their area of interest.

This time, international buyers will come from Germany, Mexico, United Kingdom, Brazil, United States, Guatemala, Peru, Spain, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Chile, Canada, Caribbean, Switzerland, Russia, France and Venezuela.

Likewise, PROCOLOMBIA and Inexmoda will launch the campaign " Colombia, Committed to the Environment" , which seeks to involve those who participate in Colombiamoda in activities to eliminate the carbon footprint that will be generated by the fair, by acquiring 50 thousand trees that will be subsequently planted in the province of Antioquia.

The business meeting adds to the strategy of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, together with PROCOLOMBIA, to support the industry that has been strongly affected by revaluation, Atpdea and the heavy rains of the prior months.

The support plan contemplates nearly 50 activities, such as commercial and buyers&rsquo missions, business rounds, market information and participation in the most renowned international fairs.

Nearly 1,200 exporting companies will participate in the promotion events considered in the plan.
