Cartagena, as Destination, is promoted as of today in Hay Festival by Wye, United Kingdom

Attendees to Hay Festival which started last Thursday in Wye, United Kingdom, will have the opportunity to come to Cartagena and to become familiar with the offer that the Colombian city offers as destination of history and culture.

In the second consecutive year, PROCOLOMBIA participates in the event at the United Kingdom, together with the Cartagena Tourism Corporation and Tierra Magna will issue images and promotional material of the capital city of Bolí var, which is also one of the venues of Hay Festival worldwide.        

The objective is to offer attendees the experience of a historical and cultural Cartagena and to invite them to visit the city during the Hay Festival carried out in January of each year.

Hay Festival is one of the most renowned cultural events worldwide, which gathers writers, musicians and film-makers, among other artists, who participate in discussions, offer workshops and concerts, among other activities well known for their top quality.

According to a report of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism based on DAS figures, Cartagena is the second preferred destination of international travellers, for a total of 169,100 travellers reported in 2010.

Wye&rsquo s Hay Festival will end next June 3rd.
