" We want to bring new, direct foreign investment from Canada, which is the eighth largest investor in Colombia, with an accrued amount between 2000 and 2010 of US$1,199.2 million, according to the Central Bank. We are confident that this figure can be increased by harnessing the benefits of the FTA," said the president of PROCOLOMBIA, Marí a Claudia Lacouture.
The opportunities in the Mines and Energy sector will be presented by Minister Mauricio Cardenas Santamaria.
To complement this seminar, there will be two additional meetings in Houston (USA) and Calgary (Canada) on October 26 and 28 respectively, aimed at raising awareness on investment opportunities offered by Colombia in the sector of goods and services for the hydrocarbon industry, in conjunction with the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
