Cali, Cartagena and Bogota will display their tourist offer at SIT 2011 in Lima

The Proexport Colombia stand will strengthen national promotion with the presentation by a couple of salsa dancers from the group Swing Latino.

Cali, Cartagena and Bogota will be represented at the International Tourism Room at SIT 2011, the most important trade show in the sector in Peru, taking place in Lima between the 19th and 21st of May.

The Cali Tourism Secretary, the Bogota District Tourism Institute, and the Cartagena de Indias Tourism Corporation will be present at the PROCOLOMBIA Stand, exhibiting their tourist offering at one of the most important fairs in the sector in Latin America, which hosted 32 thousand visitors and 332 exhibitors last year.

SIT targets the main national and international operators from the entire tourism industry, from assistance cards to airline operators, not only in Peru, but also in countries like Argentina and Brazil, among others.

To strengthen national promotion, the stage at the event will present a couple of salsa dancers from the group Swing Latino, during the three days of the fair, to delight its assistants with this hot rhythm. Also, at the PROCOLOMBIA stand.

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism numbers for 2010, 79,275 tourists came to Colombia from Peru, which represented an increase of two percent as compared to 2009 when 77,743 tourists visited the country.
