The Best of Colombia arrives in London

Last night saw Proexport Colombia, Colombia’s Tourism, Foreign Investment and Exports Promotions Agency host an intimate launch event to celebrate the beginning of their month long takeover of the National Geographic Store in London. Attendees included the Colombian Ambassador - Mauricio Rodriguez Munera, the Director of Proexport Colombia - Juan Guillermo Perez, and respected travel journalists including Nicholas Kynaston, Alasdair Grant and Michael Jacobs.

The 28 day event, encompassing the takeover of the National Geographic Store and a number of pop up events throughout London, is set to showcase the warmth of the Colombian people, the richness of the country&rsquo s architecture, the awe inspiring vistas and the phenomenal cultural spectrum that Colombia has to offer.

With something to offer every type of tourist, Colombia&rsquo s programme of events, running until the 16th August 2012 will include everything from educational seminars and photographic displays, right through to music workshops for children, wildlife demonstrations, live music, dancing and coffee tastings. A rare opportunity for aspiring and seasoned travelers alike to come together and learn just how much Colombia has to offer.

" We are delighted to be working alongside the National Geographic Store in London. There is such a phenomenal synergy between Colombia and the National Geographic, with both parties placing a great importance on culture, nature, history and of course people. Colombia is a wonderfully diverse country, and we hope to showcase just some of the country&rsquo s awesome offering over the next four weeks&rdquo , commented Juan Guillermo Perez, the Director of PROCOLOMBIA &ndash Colombia&rsquo s Tourism, Foreign Investment and Exports Promotions Agency.
