Close to 60 investors from 25 suppliers of machinery and petroleum equipment from China learned, through PROCOLOMBIA, about the current situation of the growing sector of petroleum goods and services, the Government' s projects and goals ofr 2012, ofreign investment incentives in the sector, and the legal framework the people interestes in Colombia as a potential investment destination should be familiar with.
During the event, the attending businessmen stated a lot of interest in the development of the national industry and also the possibility to use Colombia as a platform to serve the extended markets of the Gulf of Mexico and Canada, taking advantage of tariff preferences in Colombia and the region.
The attendees at the event included large players in the Chinese industry, like Juma Group, China Petroleum Technology & Development, Beijing Oil Tech & Engineering Co., AVIC Liming Chemical Machinery, Hantrong Investment, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau, Shenwu Group, Botta Group, CETC International, CNPC Petroleum Exploration Bureau.
