The new version of the guide is the result of PROCOLOMBIA' s activity, who arranged the trip for Journalist Anais Voron to Colombia, who, between May and July, traveled around the trails of the Coffee Triangle, Cali, Popayá n, Tierradentro, San Agustí n, Nuquí , Medellí n, Villa de Leyva, San Gil, Santa Marta and Tayrona Park, Cartagena and Bogotá .
" Colombia blends all the ingredients that make it an enchantment of South America: two oceans and 2,900 kilometers of coast, the Andes mountains, which separate into three different ranges, unique archaeological sites, colonial relics, rich flora and fauna, a diversity of climates and an intense lifestyle," is part of the remarks made about Colombia in the prestigious tour guide' s portal.
The new publication updates the country information and also provides travelers with valuable tips, new destinations and describes the Colombian tourism offering.
In addition to the guide, the Petit Futé web portal will feature a special on Colombia to promote the country as a tourism destination, under the campaign: Colombia, the only risk is wanting to stay.
This guide is one of the most seen by French tourists before they travel. According to the information published by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, based on DAS figures, 33,878 travelers came to Colombia from that country in 2010, 11.6% more than in 2009, when 30,368 French citizens visited.
Between January and August 2011, according to the same source of information, Colombia was visited by 26,339 French tourists, representing 15.7% more than in the same period of 2010, with 22,759 people.
