PROCOLOMBIA brings 634 foreign businessmen to Colombiatex de las Americas
1. The 24th Edition of Colombiatex de las Americas will kick-off on Tuesday, January 24, in Medellin the event brings together entrepreneurs in the textile sector and this year expects to see more than 12,000 buyers from 34 countries, who are interested in investing in the Colombian industry. PROCOLOMBIA will bring 634 foreign businessmen from 22 countries to create business opportunities with local companies.

2. The National representation at the event will be led by the Ministers of Technology, Diego Molano of Mining and Energy, Mauricio Cardenas, and the president of PROCOLOMBIA, Maria Claudia Lacouture. Officials will meet with potential investors in sectors such as information technology, communications, and energy, among others.

Entrepreneurs from the U.S. company Igloo will visit the country
3. For over 60 years, the Igloo brand has become the leader in the refrigerator industry. The firm will visit Bogota, Medellin and Barranquilla to complete a trade agenda aimed at finding new business. PROCOLOMBIA has made all the necessary arrangements for the U.S. entrepreneurs' visit.

Five foreign literary agents to attend Hay Festival
4. Cartagena will host five literary agents from Germany, France, U.K. and Mexico, in addition to 18 Colombian companies, all of which were contacted by PROCOLOMBIA, aiming to coordinate a trade meeting with Colombian publishers. Hay Festival has reached its seventh edition, and is one of the most important cultural events in Latin America.

ACU CURACAO Entrepreneurs will visit Medellín to get a first hand look at the corporate tourism offering
5. PROCOLOMBIA organized the visit of three ACU executives who will appreciate the strengths of Medellin as a host city for conferences, exhibitions and incentive trips. Avianca joins the organization.

6.Canadians will visit Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena. This activity is part of the strategy for promoting tourism in Colombia, which seek to promote the country from coast to coast, making sure to reach new market niches from Vancouver to Toronto.
