Colombia at Fitur 2012 with Falcao, flowers and coffee
1. PROCOLOMBIA will participate at Fitur, one of the largest tourism trade shows in the world, bringing together leading businessmen from the sector. The Colombian exhibition stand, organized by PROCOLOMBIA and the Tourism Promotion Fund of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, will feature the presence of 36 representatives including tour operators, regional promotion entities, hotels, cruises and airlines. The Colombian footballer Falcao Garcia will be the promoter of tourism in the country and abroad, and will attend the fair to be held in Spain.

Grandeur of the Seas Cruise ship will dock in Cartagena
2. The cruise ship Grandeur of the Seas of Royal Caribbean Line, will arrive on Tuesday January 17 at the port of Cartagena. The ship will arrive with 2,446 passengers and 760 crew members on board. The latter will see the city on a City Tour, with support from PROCOLOMBIA, as an incentive to strengthen their knowledge of the city and provide better service to the passengers. Other cruise ships docking in Cartagena are:
Star Clypper Cruise: arriving on January 21 with 170 passengers and 72 crew members. Celebrity Cruise Lines.
Horizon Cruises: 1,828 passengers and 620 crew members.
Golf Channel Argentina will visit Colombia
3. PROCOLOMBIA will bring the Golf Channel to the country to produce three programs to show the world our country' s offering in golf courses, dining, hotel and entertainment infrastructure. The channel will visit Bogota, Bucaramanga, Cartagena, Manizales, Pereira, Armenia and Medellin.

BCD Travel from Mexico will produce a special on Colombia
4. PROCOLOMBIA will bring the production team of BCD Travel from Mexico to produce a program specializing in Colombia. BCD is one of the largest international operators in the Aztec country, and has both a MICE and a Leisure department, as well as a magazine called Viajero Ejecutivo (Business Traveler), which is special for all customers and potential employers.

A group of entrepreneurs from small and medium sized enterprises will be in Spain
5. PROCOLOMBIA will accompany a group of Colombian entrepreneurs of small and medium enterprises in Madrid, Spain. There will be academic forums, tours and briefings on the industry, aimed at training them on international promotion.
The participating agencies are: Ecoturismo Sierra de la Macarena, Amonita Tours, Paipa Tours Limitada, Boyacá Tours Ltda., El Cantil Limitada, Ecolodge El Almejal Limitada, Ecolombia Tours, Rosa de los Vientos Travel Agency, Atravex - American Travel Experience.

Training to 200 travel agents in Brazil
6. PROCOLOMBIA, in alliance with Trend Operadora Wholesaler, will participate in a Road Show in Belo Horizonte and Brasilia, Brazil, to train approximately 200 travel agents on the destination Colombia. This activity seeks to introduce the Colombian offering to the participating agents, train them in the use of the site portal www.colombia.travel and give them promotional material on the country.

Training on Colombia to the LAN sales force
7. As part of the training strategy to the travel agents' sales force, PROCOLOMBIA in Chile will train the LAN sales team on the novel destinations Colombia has to offer. Another aim is for them to know the E-learning tool that the entity has developed, so they can sell the new destinations.
