
PROCOLOMBIA and the Korean Importers' Association (KOIMA), entered into a memorandum of understanding to strengthen trade promotion and exchange information on business opportunities.
The Memorandum entered in force on November 28th for a period of five years. The document set forth a joint work activity and, in addition, the exchange of information on market trends and the behavior of exports.
The entities will also cooperate jointly to facilitate all types of commercial, industrial and technical exchange between Colombian and South Korean entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, joint participation at future fairs and commercial trips will allow to conduct business and cooperate in the promotion of training for professionals on International trade.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed within the framework of the Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Colombia-Korea Business, an event organized by the Colombian-Korean Chamber of Commerce, the Korean Chamber of Commerce, the Colombian Embassy to that country and KOIMA.
At the event, PROCOLOMBIA gave a presentation on why to invest in Colombia, and provided information on the various investment opportunities, such as road infrastructure, the automotive sector, textiles and electronic devices.
The session ended with a business matchmaking forum between 10 South Korean buyers and 25 Colombian exporters from the electrical and chemicals, coffee, fruit and beef sectors.
