
This year, Hay Festival 2012 will hold its first business encounter, which was created to raise awareness of the national offering in the publishing industry, and providing Colombian businessmen with a venue to find new business opportunities.
The meeting is organized by PROCOLOMBIA with the support of Hay Festival Cartagena and the Colombian Chamber of Books.
The event, which will take place next January 27 in the Cloister of Santo Domingo de Cartagena, will host 15 publishers and five international literary agents from the UK, France, Germany and Mexico.
The British are Laluyaux Laurence, from the Rogers agency, Coleridge and White and Philip Gywn Jones, executive editor of Portobello Books publishing house.
From Germany, Nicole Witt, Director of the Ray-Gü de Mertin literary agency, a specialist in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking writers, and Gustavo Guerrero, literary adviser of the French publisher Gallimard.
Also, Eduardo Rabasa, an editor for Sexto Piso, the most prestigious independent publishing house in Mexico.
