The fashion business rounds at Plataforma K began with 27 international buyers

Buyers will have access to the collections presented during the most important fashion event in the Caribbean Region.

A total of 27 international business people came to Barranquilla to participate in the Plataforma K business rounds, the flagship fashion event in the Caribbean Region, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Barranquilla with support from Proexport.

International buyers are coming from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador and the United States. They will be coming to the capital city of the Province of Atlá ntico to see the latest trends and fashion designs in the country and to do business with the 80 exhibitors from the entire country participating in the event.

" This is a great opportunity to see the market and what Colombians have to offer, which always stands out for its quality and tasteful designs&rdquo , assured Peggy Sossa, Costa Rican business woman visiting Barranquilla.

On the other hand, Carmen Florez from Chile, who was invited by PROCOLOMBIA, highlighted the fact that " there is a lot of design and innovation, excellent quality products and, products like these are not easy to find in Chile&rdquo .

Among exhibitors, the Coast is still the region in the country with the most presence. 22 from Atlá ntico, three from Magdalena, two from Bolivar and six from Cesar, Cordoba and La Guajira. Also participating are business people from Cundinamarca, Antioquia, the two Santander provinces and Valle del Cauca.

" International buyers who visit my stand say: They make this here?&rdquo , and we feel proud to hear this. Business is always conducted at national and international level in Platform K, and obviously with the support of PROCOLOMBIA, which finds them, brings them and helps us&rdquo , said Tina Neuman, a designer from Barranquilla.

The business rounds will be held at the Yumbo room in the Barranquilla Country Club between March 22nd and 25th. Each exporter will have a stand to exhibit its collections.

Moreover, the two-story facility will provide runways for the designers to personally show their designs worn by models to their buyers.
Different clothing designs will be displayed in casual-formal style for men and women, bathing suits, leather accessories, imitation jewelry and real jewelry, as well as children&rsquo s clothing.
