Colombian tourist offer presented to the Japanese on TV special

Channel BS JAPAN visited Bogotá, Cartagena, Santa Marta, Barranquilla, the Coffee Triangle and the Amazon.

Channel BS JAPAN broadcasted a special on tourist destinations in Colombia last weekend called " Spectacular trip to Colombia - nature and traditional culture."

The show allowed the Japanese to travel through the magic of HDTV to the most beautiful places in Bogotá, Cartagena, Santa Marta and Barranquilla, as well as the extraordinary regions of the Coffee Triangle and of the Colombian Amazon.

The special had an audience of viewers aged over 30, who seek to know about tourist destinations, so far unknown to the Japanese, and encourage them to visit them personally.

This time, Colombia was the protagonist and was represented particularly by images on its natural and cultural wealth.

The production team responsible for conducting the special was invited to Colombia by Proexport. They recorded the details of some of the scenarios of most interest to that country in mid-February 2012. The show also received support from the Embassy of Colombia in Japan,   Avianca and the National Federation of Coffee Growers.

The broadcast, which seeks to impact a significant segment of the Japanese population, will air for five years and may be seen in microsite:  http://www.bs-j.co.jp/colombia/
