Colombia will be present at Chile Construye 2011

Chile Construye (Chile Builds) is the tradeshow for service solutions, equipment and construction and reconstruction materials, to be held between May 11th and 14th in Santiago de Chile. Proexport Colombia will participate with a delegation of seven Colombian companies in the construction materials sector

Construction materials like cement, ceramics, piping and finishes are the products Colombia will take to Chile Construye 2011, to be held starting this Wednesday in Santiago de Chile.

The fair, which will end this coming 14th of May, is the perfect venue to exhibit the potential in building solutions, installations, interior finishes, and exterior linings, among others.

Our country's participation, led by PROCOLOMBIA will be represented by the companies Argos, Alfagres, PCP Plá sticos, Toptec, ABL Internacional, Formesan and Reforplas.

" Chile is a growing and very developed market in the construction segment. We have very good opportunities to position our products in this country there is a lot of potential for reconstruction in the aftermath of the earthquake," said Ana Milena Arias, Toptec international market coordinator.

Colombian entrepreneurs will participate as part of the market diversification and consolidation strategy of the Construction Materials Sector, considering the strong demand that promotes public, industrial and housing infrastructure projects.

" Our participation in Chile Construye provides very important support, not only to sell our offerings, but also to promote Colombia and PROCOLOMBIA plays a fundamental role there&rdquo , said Jorge Bojanini, Export Manager, Argos.

According to a study conducted by the PROCOLOMBIA sales offices abroad, the Construction Materials sector reports opportunities in markets like the United States, Canada, Ecuador, Panama, Chile and Brazil.

Chile provides opportunities in this sector thanks to the competitive prices offered by Colombian entrepreneurs. After the February 2010 earthquake, the southern-cone country began a reconstruction process that will take about five years, according to that country&rsquo s government estimates, where millions of dollars will be invested.

The Chilean demand focuses on ceramics, steel, hardware, asbestos and cement.
