Colombia, the destination desired by the Germans in 2011

This was revealed by Travel One, the most widely read in the sector of the tourism industry in Germany. The publication noted the high level of preference (39%) that showed German travelers to Colombia in the previous year.

The article includes Colombia in top 10 most visited countries in the previous year. The country shares this position with Myanmar, which won the same percentage.

Germany became the second European country to issue more tourists to Colombia in 2011, according to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, based on figures from Colombia Migration, reporting an increase from 2010 of 39.3% with 41,166 passengers recorded.

The magazine Travel One went to the public during the international tourism fair, ITB 2012, held in Berlin from 7 to 11 March.
