Canadian entrepreneurs can obtain Colombian manufacturing products

150 Colombian expoters and 120 Canadian buyers will meet during an International Business Matchmaking Forum in Toronto.

If your business requires equipment, containers and packaging, POP and construction materials, you can benefit from the International Business Matchmaking Forum, to be held in Toronto on October 27 and 28.

The meeting at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel will be attended by 120 local buyers and 150 Colombian exporters, who will be arriving in the country to offer quality products at competitive prices.

Among the offering are clay coatings for roofs, walls and floors such as tiles, veneer for walls, colonial and cobblestone floors for both interior and exterior flooring and fittings, bathroom and kitchen faucets, showers and showers, among others.

The business matchmaking forum is organized by PROCOLOMBIA, the entity entrusted with the international promotion of tourism, investment and exports, and will aim to strengthen trade relations between the two countries, not just the clothing sector but also the agribusiness and manufacturing sectors.

In addition, it will take advantage of the Free Trade Agreement recently entered into between the two countries, in force since August 15, which allowed zero-tariff entry of a number of Colombian products.

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, with DANE figures, Colombia' s manufacturing sector exported $27.7 million in 2010, with electrical appliances, widely used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as the best selling items.

Between January and July 2011, exports totaled US$15.6 million.
