Thirty-two Colombian companies are set to participate in the 2014 edition of the biggest annual swim show in the U.S., the Miami SwimShow. The event, which will take place from July 19th to July 22ndat the Miami Beach Convention Center, features providers of high-end beachwear, lingerie and accessories. This year marks a new record for the amount of Colombian brands showcasing their products for men, women, and children. Products include beach, swim, and resort wear as well as a wide range of trendy accessories.
The SwimShow has been exhibiting for 30 years all beach, lingerie, and vacation attire from globally-recognized brands. This year, more than 7,500 exhibitors, including major department stores, suppliers, boutiques and big name brands from the U.S., Asia, Brazil, and Colombia will participate in the SwimShow. More than 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, a must-go for all those involved in the beachwear and lingerie industry around the world.
Colombia has a diverse and attractive offer in the textile and apparel industry. Exports for this sector are currently in high demand internationally. The total value of Colombian textiles exports in 2013 was US$277.8 million, according to the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, based on data from the national statistics agency (DANE).
Colombian apparel providers offer excellent quality, detailed finishings and innovative designs at competitive prices. They are also known for their enormous creativity and efficiency. It is no wonder there is such great demand for their products.
