About this Page

The following is for information purposes, and explains the 2006 - 2010 development planning / PROCOLOMBIA.

2007-2010 Sectoral Strategic Planning of MCIT

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism (MCIT)’s goal is to turn Colombia into a more competitive country, with better economic growth and increased well being for the population. To fully achieve this goal, it created the Sectoral Strategic Planning. This is the harmonization of guidelines from the different sub-sectors that comprise the Ministry, such as the 2006-2010 National Development Plan, the 2019 and 2032 Country Vision, the sectoral policies, among others.

The Sectoral Strategic Planning is based on various thematic groups: economy globalization, productive transformation, Colombia as world class tourism destination, performance management and communication, and image.
